I am honoured and delighted to be serving as Vice President of SIGBI. We have a busy programme of work ahead of us in the next few years, but as always we will enjoy ourselves too as we work together across the Federation. I believe that being a Soroptimist is one of the most enriching and rewarding experiences that life has to offer women. It is a gift we should share liberally with friends, relatives, work colleagues and all those women we meet who will both gain fulfilment for themselves as well as give something back to our organisation. Through our ‘Can Do’ campaign in our Clubs we have been working to raise our profile, increase membership and develop new service projects to support women and children. Alongside this continuing programme, we are now looking further forward at the outcomes of the Soroptimist International Strategic Planning Group review to move the worldwide organisation onwards and upwards until we can truly ‘touch the sun’. An exciting few years lie ahead for us all.
