President’s message

President 2008-2009Hello and welcome to SI Ballymoney & District web pages. I hope they give you an insight into our Club.

Our Club is in its 44th year with members covering a wide range of professions, expertise and interests. We may have a 40+ year age span but all members are young at heart! Our members live in Bushmills, Dervock, Ballybogey, Coleraine, Garvagh, Rasharkin, Cloughmills, Ballymena, Stranocum and Armoy, as well as in Ballymoney itself.

All of our members lead busy lives but all like to have fun while trying to help others. We work locally, nationally and internationally by supporting local charities and organisations as well as Programme Action work and SI Quadrennial project.

Each year we have a mixed programme of business and speaker meetings, around 15 in total, from September through to June. Take a look at our programme for 2008/2009 to see what we are planning in the near future. You could also check out the Club news to see reports of our past exploits.

This year we are undertaking a review of our activities to make sure that membership continues to be interesting and rewarding as well as meeting the objectives of Soroptimist International.

I would be delighted to tell you more about our Club. Perhaps you would like to attend a meeting or just chat on the ‘phone or over coffee to give you a feel for the Club and Soroptimist International. Do get in touch. We’ll welcome you in the traditional Soroptimist way … in friendship.
