About our Club
Soroptimist International of Burnley is in its 67th year. We have had many meeting venues over the years but currently meet at the Belvedere and Caldervale Rugby Club. We USED to meet on the first and third Tuesday of every month but to facilitate our new president with her Parish Council commitments, this year we will meet on the SECOND and FOURTH Tuesday of the month.
On the second Tuesday we usually have a guest speaker or an outside visit and members may bring guests or prospective new members. The fourth Tuesday of the month is the main business meeting for the club. We also have a busy programme of fund-raisers; social events; conferences/meetings and programme action initiatives - see other areas of this site.
We have formal friendship links with the historic UK cities of Bath and Oxford but unfortunately these clubs don’t have a website.
