SI Cannock helps local Girl Guides
Members of Soroptimist International Cannock were extremely saddened to learn that St Lukes’ Guides had had their takings stolen by a heartless thief after they’d worked very hard to raise £40 at St. Lukes’ Church Fete. The guides had raised the money by selling items they’d gathered after weeks of hard work. The theft of the money meant that all their efforts had been to no avail. It was especially disheartening to the girls as the day of the fete was marred by torrential rain storms so the numbers of visitors to the fete were lower than usual.
On hearing of the plight of the guides members of S.I. Cannock immediately voted to reimburse the Guides with the £40 they’d had stolen and this week the President of SI Cannock, Janis Lomas, was delighted to attend the guides meeting to give their leaders the cheque.
