SI Cannock Dragon Boat Race Day
On Sunday 9th August SI Cannock & District supported the Dragon Boat Event organised by the Rotary club of Cannock at Chase Water. The aim of the event is to raise funds for many charities and provide an excellent day out for families.
8 Soroptimist club members provided a “Lost and Found” base for children (which luckily wasn’t needed, though one or two parents offered to provide some lost children for us!) ran a refreshment stall and a game for children.
£130 was raised by SI C&D which will go to the four local charities being supported by the club this year: Citizens Advice Bureau; Young Carers; Newlife Foundation; Alzheimer’s Society.
