Tea’s Up! Soroptimists Lend a Hand
Crosby’s Soroptimists helped out at two events organised by St Joseph’s Hospice Association (Jospice). At the Christmas fair members staffed the kitchen, serving up tea and sandwiches for stallholders and members of the public throughout the day. Then at the end of the “Light Up A Life” service - when everyone hastened in from the cold - the Soroptimists were on hand to supply hot drinks and mince pies.
President Pat Williams said, “These two events raise much needed funds each year for Jospice, enabling it to continue to care for patients and their families in our local community. As Soroptimists, we are proud to support this charity by volunteering our time and energy. It can also be great fun!”
