SI Crosby has supported Crosby Hall Educational Trust (CHET) in a variety of ways over the years. In 2005 members resolved to renew a long-term commitment to the Trust’s work by allocating funds from its reserves. The Club is therefore supporting the equivalent of five children’s visits each year over five years. The financial commitment is now over £800 p.a.

CHET is a residential educational centre founded in 1988. It is situated at Crosby Hall, Little Crosby, in historic stables and farm buildings that have been sensitively converted and modernised. The value of residential courses for children is widely recognised, and a period of community living is seen as an essential part of a child’s social and educational development. It can release energies and gifts not previously recognised. Many of the schools visiting CHET are based in inner city areas, so the rural environment of the centre is, in itself, a wonderful new experience for many students.
