Sefton Women’s and Children’s Aid

SI Crosby is a longstanding supporter of Sefton Women’s and Children’s Aid (SWACA). For many years the club has had a representative on the Board, and thus had the opportunity to contribute towards the charity’s progress. The club also regularly donates money towards SWACA’s projects and has, for example, funded the refurbishment of the garden at the education centre. Crosby’s Soroptimists have supported the “Leap Frog” and “SWACA Quacker” appeals (great inspiration for an attention-grabbing hat!). The club’s most recent donation was towards SWACA’s GR8 2B Me : ) appeal, which aims to fund extended outreach work with young people.
SWACA provides free and confidential support for all women and children experiencing domestic violence. Its services include a helpline, one-to-one support, solicitors’ surgeries, welfare/benefits advice, group work, a refuge and awareness training.
SI Crosby is proud to maintain its connections with SWACA.
