Best Practice International Recognition
President Hilary said that it was a great honour to go up onto the stage at conference in October 2006 to receive from International President Lynn Dunning a certificate for our club as finalist in the Best Practice International recognition 2005-2006 in Education for the Ghana Education Project.
This project was set up in partnership with GEP Steering Committee, Tunbridge Wells Girls Grammar School, the British High Commission in Ghana, Scholastice Blue Horizons and Marks and Spencer.
It was chosen because it is an example of a project which has international dimension and is focused on the provision of education in a very poor and underdeveloped region in Africa.
Being awarded this certificate was even more significant for President Hilary as she is directly involved with the project and her theme for her Presidential Year was “For Planet and People”
