What a brilliant idea for Ann, as region Officer promoting Project Sierra was able to give us updates and also explain how everything is progressing.

As a club we have been working on ideas for fundraising for the project. We started off well with “Women Walking for Women”( raising £1000) and followed this after last year’s Conference with our Caribbean evening which also raised more money.

For Project Sierra we were shown slides of Anne Macdonald’s study tour last February and heard case stories of women and girls being taught life skills and given opportunities to become independent, to have a future and real esteem in their villages.

We all felt so inspired by Ann’s talk which left us keen to raise even more funds for this quadrennial project.
