President’s coffee morning
A coffee morning and sale held at the Hillhead home of club president Pat Hanns raised £112 for her chosen charity.
There was brisk trade on the sale of bric-a-brac and a variety of cakes and biscuits to accompany cups of coffee. Proceeds from the event will go to the Thruxton-based Hampshire Air Ambulance, the charity chosen to benefit from funds raised during Pat’s year of office. The service was launched in 2007 and relies entirely on voluntary donations and has to raise more than £65,000 every month to keep flying.

“We did very well considering the number of people who attended and it was a lovely day,” she said.
