Remember the 5th of November
Remember, remember the 5th of November... Well, SI Ilkley marked it this year with Moonwalk Training Session No 3! We were delighted to welcome two new members. Some of course were still sunning themselves in Barbados! Six hardy souls assembled at the Old Bridge in Ilkley and set off west for Addingham. It was actually a lovely day to walk and we started with a group photo under the autumnal colour by the bridge. And then we were off! 85 minutes and 8.21 km later we were back. That represents a speed of 5.79 kph, or 3.61mph if you are still in old money. (It always seems faster in metric.) The most important statistic for some of course is the calorie count of 494 which represents just about two rather luxurious muesli bars. The spoken word count was of course immeasurable, and continued well into the coffee stop at the Riverside Hotel. Well done everybody! Next week…Same time! Same place! All are welcome. it’s not too late to start.

There are 452 calories in a Mars bar - now for that I would walk 8.21 km! Yummy
