Welcome to the King&#8217;s Lynn club of Soroptimist International of Great Britain and Ireland.
In July we had a very enjoyable Friendship Weekend. This included trips to Walsingham, Stiffkey and Wells, as well as a guided walk around King&#8217;s Lynn.

<p>Welcome to the King&#8217;s Lynn club of Soroptimist International of Great Britain and Ireland.</p>
<p>In July we had a very enjoyable Friendship Weekend. This included trips to Walsingham, Stiffkey and Wells, as well as a guided walk around King&#8217;s Lynn.</p>
<p>The weekend finished with a splendid Charter Lunch at Park House Sandringham where we welcomed guests from both our link clubs and fellow London Anglia Region clubs.</p>
<p>During November President Val was proud to be asked to lay a wreath on Rememberance Sunday at Tower Gardens in King&#8217;s Lynn supported by President-elect Miriam, Past President Jane, Club Secretary Carolyn and Membership Chairman, Lindsay.<br />
This was the first time the Club had been invited to perform this service and was followed by a Service of Rememberance in St. Margaret&#8217;s Church, King&#8217;sLynn. They were then welcomed by the Mayor in the Town Hall to enjoy a glass of warm punch.</p>
<p>On awet and windy day in October members took part in a sponsored walk joining with members from Norwich and Great Yarmouth.The walkcommenced at the RSPB Centre at Cley and was followed bywelcomed lunchin Cley.The walk raised over 250 for Project Sierra by King&#8217;s Lynn members.<br />

<p>In December a very enjoyable Fashion Show was held with a number of our members being models for the morning, as shown in the photograph below. The funds raised from the show are for the Willow Tree Project which is the Presidents Charity for the year.</p>

<p>In May 2009 we held a tea party to thank local knitters who made made garments to be sent to the Gambia.</p>
