SI Leamington and Warwick Projects
Each Soroptimist International club identifies the needs of its community, then establishes specific projects to address these needs. All our projects relate to one or more of the six Programme Focus Areas: Economic and Social Development, Education, Environment, Health, Human Rights and the Status of Women, and International Goodwill and Understanding. The projects listed below include some of the local and international issues we research and support in SI Leamington and Warwick:
These includes the Young Carers, Old People Home tea party, Hospital escorts and Station gardens.
We have contributed to sending manual sewing machines and sewing materials to Bo in Sierra Leone and are corresponding with local women there
We also do fund raising - our major annual event is the Swimathon (see Latest News Page.)

Support for the local Young Carers Group
We provide transport once a week during term time for two groups who meet on alternate weeks [under 12years old and 12-18years old]. They are part of South Warwickshire Carers Association and benefit from the fun and relaxation as a break from their responsibilities in the family. We also help with the catering once a year when they meet up with other groups in the county for their Annual Fun Day at Southam football ground!
