President’s message
This year we will work with Soroptimists in India to provide toilets in girl’s schools and a well for a village. We have raised enough money so far via a craft fair to initiate the successful completion of one toilet. Our local work involves supporting a carers group, supporting a woman hostel and getting involved in Charnwood Talking News which provides cassette tapes to the local blind with excerpts of the Loughborough Echo.
Our next members meeting will be on Monday 7th September 2009 where we will be having a literacy evening at John Storer House. Bring along a book that has inspired you and share it with others. Also there will be a second hand book sale.
The club tends to meet on the first Monday and third Wednesday of the month at John Storer House at 7.30pm.
