About our Region

Soroptimists in The Midlands are divided into three regions for ease of communication and travel between clubs. Midland Arden Region is made up of a total of thirteen clubs:-

The Region is administered by the Regional Officers Committee (ROC) and there are three regional meetings each year which are open to all members of the clubs in the region who wish to attend.

Regional officers, who can be from any club in the region, take office in November of each year unlike club officers who take office in April.

The clubs in the region differ in size and in the type of area from which they attract members. For example clubs such as Birmingham Central recruit from a largely urban area while clubs such as Stratford upon Avon and Hereford draw their members from a predominantly rural population.

All clubs are committed to the same Soroptimist aims as Soroptimists throughout the world.

The regional theme for the year 2008 - 2009 is “We have to be the change that we want to see”.
