Change of Insignia
This year’s President of Midland Chase Region, Pauline Wright, is a member of the Tamworth club and the ceremony took place at Drayton Manor where S.I. Tamworth hold their Meetings. Neither Pauline nor the retiring President Heather Stern were able to attend the Federation Conference in Barbados so after the formal ceremonies Barbados came to Tamworth in the form of a Caribbean Evening! The room was decorated very artistically and a Steel Band made up of youngsters between the ages of 8-13 played superbly throughout the lovely meal which was Caribbean cuisine. All the guests “walked the plank” into dinner followed by the new President who was escorted by two villainous pirate chiefs. After dinner everybody danced to a fabulous disco.
