Programme Action
We call our voluntary work ‘Programme Action’ and it is the reason for being a Soroptimist.
It reflects the vision and values of S.I., which are to be a global voice for women through awareness, advocacy and action. We strive for the advancement of the status of women, high ethical standards, human rights for all, and equality, development and peace.
We are committed to a world where women and girls together achieve their individual and collective potential, realise aspirations and have an equal voice in creating strong, peaceful communities worldwide.
We achieve these goals through undertaking projects at a local, regional, national and international level. They involve raising AWARENESS of issues, ADVOCATING change by lobbying governments and international bodies and finally taking ACTION to make cahnge happen
