Springtime Boutique -new and nearly new clothes and accessories
This was our last fundraising event for President Christina’s year of office and was for her chosen charity, Lowdown. Alwyn Wilson kindly hosted this event at her home on Saturday 18th April. Members donated new or nearly new clothes and accessories to be “recycled” to new owners! Things we had bought which didn’t suit or didn’t fit and we didn’t get around to taking back to the shop. We all have these things cluttering up our wardrobes accusingly and it was nice to make sure they had a chance of being used.

We’re delighted to report that this event was a great success - lots of super clothes, bags, scarves and jewellery - and plenty of ‘customers’ to buy them. It was also a very enjoyable social occasion which included friends of members who now know a little more about Soroptimists. As usual, the catering was excellent. We raised over £400 for The Lowdown and we record our warmest thanks to everyone who supported us.
