A Message from Our President
Fellow Soroptimists,
The Christmas festivities are now over and I hope that yours were enjoyable. We are are now on the brink of a new year and look forward to continuing our Soroptimist work as well as starting new ventures and projects.
In mid January Lynn and Norman Yates are going to Swaziland to the Partners in Education (PIES)project. We wish them a safe, rewarding and enjoyable visit and look forward to hearing how the project is progressing. The Coffee Morning at Lynn’s in aid of PIES raised in excess of £300 and also gave some of us the opportunity to meet Maggie Elizabeth, the baby daughter of Isobel and Fergus Elder. Maggie seemed fascinated by all going on and quite unfazed by meeting so many Soroptimists and supporters in one go!
Federation Conference at the end of October was a mixture of news of success, inspiration, entertainment, renewed friendships and ideas to take Soroptimist International forward. A historic event in the beautiful city of Cardiff.
In a few weeks time we have our Charter Celebration Lunch and I hope that as many of you as possible will be there to share this historically important event.
