President Rita’s chosen Charities
President Rita’s chosen charities for her presidential year are Reigate and Banstead Women’s Aid and The Khayalethu Centre in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
Reigate and Banstead Women’s Aid run a refuge and a move-on house for women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
The Khayalethu Centre is a home for street children from the ages of 5 to 19. They are taken in, given a bed, food, clothing and education and are taught skills to enable them to find employment and be self sufficient when they leave the centre at ninteen years old.
