Club President’s message
Welcome to the web-page of Soroptimist International of Richmond and Dales. We are a lively friendly club, meeting on the third Thursday of the month in either Wensleydale, during the summer months, or the historic town of Richmond, North Yorkshire in winter. A new or prospective member will receive a warm welcome.
Our members come from a wide variety of occupations: business, education, legal, social care, medicine and science. Many work full time and some are retired, however the vast majority of our retired members are very actively involved in voluntary community projects and are as busy as members in employment!
We are a vibrant enthusiastic club who, over the last 12yrs years , have raised £67,500 for a huge variety of charities local, national & international. Soroptimists all work hard to improve the lives of women and children the world over.
We share an interest in the world around us with a commitment to making it better however we combine this with a great capacity for enjoyment and fun – this year’s theme is “Variety & Fun”!
