About our Club
Our club was chartered in October 1961 and currently has over 30 members from a variety of professions. We give service, share friendship and also have fun. If you are a working woman who is interested in helping your community, challenging your thinking on current social issues and being part of an organisation which has over 100,000 members in more than 100 countries then maybe you would like to join our club. New members are always welcome.
Each month we meet on the third Wednesday at the Copthorne Hotel in Slough. Generally we have a business meeting for one hour, starting at 7.00, followed by dinner and a speaker - ending at around 10.00. We also have social and fund raising events.

The Club takes an active interest in local issues and has been instrumental in the provision of mental health facilities in Windsor, opening a new Child Contact Centre in Slough and the construction of a YMCA Hostel in Slough. It also assists East Berkshire Women’s Aid and organises an annual travel scholarship for local sixth-formers. Additionally, members in each of the areas of Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead provide editors and readers for the three separate Talking Newspapers for the Blind in the area.
The Club has friendship links with SI clubs in Morpeth, Amsterdam Amstel, Banjul (The Gambia), Grenada, Nigata (Japan), and Vilnius (Lithuania).
