About our Club
Welcome to the website of Soroptimist International of Southampton and District.
Soroptimist International is a global organisation for women in management and the professions, who work through service projects to advance human rights and the status of women, and our interest is in women’s issues at both local and international levels, as well as environmental, health and other concerns.
Southampton and District meet for a Speaker Meeting on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at the Fleming Park Golf Club, Eastleigh, Southamtpon at 6.45 pm for 7.00 pm.
At this meeting we socialise over dinner, make valuable contacts, discuss issues, and enjoy the knowledge and expertise of a visiting speaker. The speakers are chosen by the President and are designed to be interesting, informative, focusing on both local and international issues, which the President feels would interest members of the Club. The subjects can be very diverse in nature.
On the first Tuesday of each month we hold a Business Meeting to discuss business matters relating to the Club, Region and any International matters which we have received from Federation Office. This meeting also provides the opportunity for all members of the club to discuss projects they are involved in, fund-raising activities, social events and develops friendships.
This meeting is held at the Rose Road Association’s Bradbury Centre, 300 Aldermoor, Southampton, commencing at 7.15 pm
