Marie Eggins from ‘Carefree’ - June 09
Marie attended our June Busimess meeting and spoke of the work of Carefree who run programmes for young people aged 13-17 in residential or foster homes. This year there will be 5 summer programmes involving outdoor education based at Bishop’s Forum and 1 Arts programme. A peer mentoring programme runs throughout the year. These are older young people who are also or have been in care. The programmes focus on giving young people the skills to do things for themselves and others to help them become independent and self-reliant. carefeecornwall@btconnect.com
