An evening with Nell Gwynn
President Judith Carder, arranged a wonderful charity evening for members and their friends, 1 total of 100 guests.
Nell Gwynn (alias Lesley Smith from Tutbury Castle) was the star attraction. Nell described her life: from poverty in the slums of London, fame in the theatre and then finally the favourite mistress of the King.
The event, which included supper, was held at the County Buildings, Stafford A very suitable venue for Nell, with her royal connections. The event raised £640 for Staffordshire Blind and Oak Tree Farm Rural Project.
A total of £640.00 was raised, this will go to two local charities, Staffordshire Blind and the Oak Tree Farm Rural Project for people with learning difficulties
