Cecily’s Fund

Cecily’s fund helps Zambian AIDS Orphans.

In August 2004 we raised money for this charity by holding a Jazz in the Park music event.

Later in the year many of our members attended the annual picnic at Woodstock where Madam President presented a cheque for £1310 to Alison Eastwood.

Two of our members were able to visit some of the children supported by Cecily’s fund.

In 2009 members of SI Tamworth and guests had a fascinating and entertaining evening when Mr John S White came along to talk as a Georgian butler. He dressed in the authentic uniform and laid a dining table exactly as it would have been laid in a rich household in mid 18th Century England. Everyone was amazed at the amount of accoutrements placed upon the table. An excellent meal followed the talk and was served 20th Century style by SI waitresses

As regular supporters we are now mentioned on the Cecily’s Fund supporters page.
