S.O.S - Service Our Strength
We all take re-cycling very seriously in Wallasey but my being our club president for a third time seems like taking it to the limit. This wasn’t on my agenda but life has it’s twists and turns and so my poor club are stuck with me yet again. That won’t stop us having a good year doing what we do best - service - be it locally, nationally or internationally.
My hope this year is to encourage our new members to get out and about to meet other Soroptimists at events, Region or even Conference so that they get a bigger picture of our aims which in turn will, hopefully, make them want to stay members.
We will continue to support the Women’s Refuge and the Teenage Pregnancy Unit locally, the NSPCC nationally, and Project Sierra Internationally. I’m sure we will support others during the year who have the need for our help. Most importantly we will also continue to have lots of fun and laughter along the way.
