President’s message
We hear such a lot about recycling and our club feels so strongly about it they have started the year recycling me!

I am Jenny Dobson a music Teacher and a pianist. I lived in Canada for twenty years and reared a family of four adopted children. After which I returned to England and looked after my mother who passed away 2006 at the ripe old age of 96. These two facts have led me to my theme for this year of “Service in the community for old and young”. At conference we were asked by our President Marguerite Woodstock Riley to take on Partners in the community and I hope to be looking towards that goal.
My main charities for the year will be N.S.P.C.C. and Age Concern at home; and outside of the UK, Project SIerra and the Learn4Life project in Uganda. Already during my year the Club have donated £700 to Learn4Life, half of which was from donations instead of gifts from my family and friends for my ** birthday. The Lean4Life project is funding the development of a school in a village that is 50miles from Kampala. The money raised by the Club has gone to fit out a much needed kitchen in the school.
