The event encouraged great networking opportunities among the groups and the people who attended.

The event was sponsored by Woking Borough Council and other local businesses and was opened by the Mayor, Cllr Peter Ankers. He and the Mayoress visited 6 rows of tables and talked to exhibitors. These ranged from tackling hair loss, breast cancer, counselling, mental health, rape and sexual abuse and many therapists offered massage and other taster sessions. A Programme of short talks ran throughout the day which attracted wide interest including homeopathy, kinesiology, cancer screening and aloe vera products.

There was a raffle in aid of President Anne’s charity, the Stroke Association which raised £300. Prizes included an overnight stay at Gorse Hill Hotel, a spa day at Foxhills and many others. The amount raised went towards the grand total for the year of £2,500.

The event was hailed as a great success and will be repeated next year. Details will appear later in the year on the web site so do watch out for further information.
